If you always do what you’ve always done, then you’ll always get what you always got. And while what I got had its perks, I’m looking for something different now.

One of Those Inevitable Things

  • Remy's dad: You can’t change nature!
  • Remy: Change IS nature, dad… the part that we can influence. And it starts when we decide.
  • (Remy starts walking away)
  • Remy's dad: Where are you going?
  • Remy: With luck… forward.

Fat Girl Reckonings #01

Was able to finish Cheche Lazaro’s documentary, “Bigatin”, and was able to relate with that problem of “How come is it that I work out harder and yet my body is not as thin as that other girl/woman who works out less or maybe does not even exercise, and could still eat whatever she wants?”

Like what Ms. Iza Calzado said, maybe it’s time to stop comparing oneself with others. ‘Tis time to start re-wiring the brain that it’s not about being thinner, it’s about being healthier. And no matter how difficult it is to live out this principle, well… it’s not impossible. Hear, hear.

So the battle for a healthier body, a healthier mind, and a healthier spirit continues.

Hear, hear.

  • Hollis Mann: Sorry...
  • Jethro Gibbs: Don't apologize...
  • Mann: ...More questions than answers.
  • Gibbs: ... A sign of weakness.
  • Mann: I thought it took strength to apologize.
  • (From episode 7 of season 4 of one of my favorite shows, NCIS.)

Better is open rebuke
than hidden love.

Wounds from a friend can be trusted,
but an enemy multiplies kisses.
